    How to Integrate with 3M?

    3M Global Specifications3M is a huge company with both customers and suppliers throughout the world and across various industries. This implies a vast amount of interactions and document exchanges which they endeavor to automate as much as possible using EDI. Depending on the nature of your trading relationship with 3M you will have different EDI requirements to meet. As a supplier, using EDI is mandatory. As a customer, 3M leaves you much more freedom.

    3M Global Specifications: the website looks outdated but it's still the one referenced for global specifications. 

    Technically, all these flows can be implemented using Babelway since we fully support and currently exchange messages using all of the above technologies. We will document the implementation flow using AS2 and X12. Do not hesitate to contact our support team if you wish to integrate using other technologies and are unsure how to proceed.

    In particular, for European customers, 3M offers support and allows you to choose the best integration mode for you. See their contact form for more information. You should request TRADACOM and Odette specifically if you wish to work with those formats. TRADACOM is currently only used with UK customers and Odette within the car industry.
